The Tiburon Firefighters Association has voted to affiliate with Marin Professional Firefighters, Local 1775.  The group retain its identification and will now be recognized as the Tiburon Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1775.

Tiburon is the last firefighter association in Marin to affiliate with the Marin Professional Firefighters, Local 1775, though their history with Local 1775 stretches back to the founding of the local. Back in 1968, 18 Marin County firefighters signed the affiliation agreement that created Local 1775. Three of the 18 were from Tiburon: John Grbac, Thomas Murphy and Robert Wallerman.

Marin Professional Firefighters represents more than 400 firefighters in a dozen local jurisdictions. The Tiburon affiliation means that every professional rank-and-file firefighter in Marin County has a proud, united voice representing their interests with employers.

The union is all of us.
